- Hi Y'all!
-
- Last night I Installed the Humungouse MUI3.1-user on my WorkBench3.0 (Boot)
- partition of my A1200. upon rebooting I got a "Checksum error on Block ????
- on drive HD0" or words to that effect. Multiple retries couldn't get past it,
- so I cancelled and boot proceeded normally. Opening (double click) my WB Icon
- or doing dir/all produces the same error immediately, although likewise
- after cancelling the requester everything proceeds normally. using show
- all files in the WB window liokewise produces the error, but double clicking
- anything except the MUI directory pruduces no error. double clicking the MUI
- drawer of course brings up the requester, but a cancel allows the contents to
- display fine.
-
- What are the best steps to take ?
-
- Is there some repair that may avoid a full reformat/verify ? ie
- could I delete MUI drawer, and mark that block bad ? If so how.
-
- The drive is a Seacrate 120M IDE internal to the A1200.
-
- I have the usual ADos 3.0 tools.
-
-
- Thanks for any help
